Rocksteady has gone and done the unthinkable, I’m afraid. At a recent hands-on event for the game they held which showed off the game’s batmobile they broke the news that the game would not meet its October 14th release date. In fact, it won’t be coming in 2014 at all.

No specific reason for the delay of the game was released, though it being the final chapter of the critically-acclaimed series has me thinking they just want this thing as good as it can possibly be. The month of October is already pretty crowded, anyway; with Alien: Isolation, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Driveclub, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Evolve and The Evil Within all slated to release that month. Holy crap.
