Take Two Reveals That 'Borderlands 2' Has Shipped Over 9 Million Units

It’s no secret that Gearbox’s Borderlands 2 has been a smash success that is resulting in a game called Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! being released later this year, but now Take Two has revealed just how successful it has been.

In Take Two’s recent financial report they revealed that Borderlands 2 has shipped over 9 million units since it first launched in September 2012.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! is being co-developed by 2K Australia and Gearbox Software for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC and is set for a release in the third quarter of the year.
