Harmonix has gone on record saying that, sometime in the future, they will want to bring back their beloved Rock Band franchise on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The series has been dormant for some time now due to the diminishing returns that resulted from the over saturation of these types of games.

Harmonix said the following in an interview with GameReactor:

“We think about it all the time because we love Rock Band, and we’re waiting for just the right moment in the new generation of consoles to bring it back.”

Harmonix is currently working on Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved, plus a new Dance Central and Amplitude game.
