George R. R. Martin has enlisted his assistant – author Ty Corey Franck – as a story consultant on the upcoming Telltale Games adaptation of the popular HBO series Game of Thrones.
This was revealed in a New York Times article. It discusses how Telltale’s focus on narrative is a natural fit for the Game of Thrones series, and the assistance of Ty Corey Franck will allow Telltale to refine the narrative as much as possible.
While there is no release date for Telltale’s take on Game of Thrones, the article does mention that a lot of work remains before the game’s premier and that no one at Telltale was very eager to reveal any information. Hopefully this has more to do with attention being drawn elsewhere rather than with struggles getting this adaptation to work.
