It’s pretty well known now that Titanfall wasn’t originally an Microsoft exclusive, but a new piece of information has surfaced that suggests a pretty surprising platform the game could have ended up on. That platform is the PlayStation Vita.
Respawn Entertainment revealed in The Final Hours of Titanfall app that Sony had offered to help them make a Vita version of the game at some point, as they apparently weren’t as interested in a PlayStation 4 version.
However, even though round one of Titanfall ended up exclusively on Microsoft platforms, it’s looking pretty certain that the future sequels in the series will be available on any system that can handle the game.
Condemn (OR) Condone:
This definitely surprised me when I first read it, because I would have figured that Titanfall would have naturally been on PlayStation 4 rather than Vita. Also, the more I think about it, the more I realize that the way the Vita handles wouldn’t be very ideal for Titanfall‘s control layout. If they worked it so that it had a different control-scheme for the Vita it could have been cool, but proper triggers and beefier control sticks on the main console controllers would probably deem the Vita version the inferior one.
