Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford has revealed some new information about the size and potential pricing of the upcoming game Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.
In an interview with PC Gamer, Pitchford said the following about the size of the game:
“It’s pretty big. I don’t think it’s going to be as big as Borderlands 2. It might be as big, or a little bigger, than Borderlands 1. It might be kind of in between the two.”
He goes on to discuss the price of the game:
“As far as price point goes, I don’t think that’s set in stone yet. It should be priced correctly, so we’ll have to see what happens in the market and understand the actual total value proposition that’s being offered, but I’m the developer. The guys at 2K will figure that out.”
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will launch in the Fall for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The game is being co-developed by both Gearbox and 2K Australia.
Condemn (OR) Condone:
This is about what I would expect for the type of game that this is. I guess it should be fitting that the game that takes place inbetween two games would have an overall size that is also in-between the two games. I’m also glad to hear that they are open to possibly charging less than the full $60 if the amount of content on display isn’t as substantial.
