Diablo III Coming To PS4 And Xbox One?

Game development company Blizzard has announced that they are developing both a PS4 and Xbox One version of Diablo III, though at this time only the PS4 version is confirmed.

The game’s producer Alex Mayberry spoke with IGN and said the following about the PS4 version:

“It’s being worked on. I don’t have any release dates to announce, but it’s not far behind. They kind of have to wait for the PC side to wrap before they can completely finish, but they’ve been in parallel development with us the whole time. As we developed on the PS, they pulled it into the console version and then they make it work. So they’re still in the process of wrapping up that side of things, as they’ve had to wait for us to finish up. It won’t be long, but I can’t give an exact date as we still need to go through certifications.

Speaking about the Xbox One version, he said the following:

“I can’t confirm it at this point, as I don’t have a release date, at all for that. The way we develop, it’s as if there will be an Xbox One version, but until it’s announced there’s nothing official.”

It’s great that Diablo III will be coming to PS4 and hopefully Xbox One, as these types of games are usually lacking on home consoles. As long as the porting process goes well and we don’t get a watered down version, then I am all for taking on some Diablo madness on my PS4 (or Xbox One if that version happens).
