Apparently, a lot of people aren’t very big fans of the light bar on the PS4 controller. There are concerns about it needlessly draining battery and it only being there for show, but now it looks like you will be able to change that. Kind of.
Sony’s Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida reportedly told GameTrailers TV host Geoff Keighley that you will be able to turn off the light bar, though Yoshida has since confirmed that you will only be able to dim it. This change will be part of the system’s next update that will be focused on user feedback.
Condemn (OR) Condone:
Hey, I happen to like that light bar! It looks all cool when you play the system in a dark room, and… uh… yeah I guess I’m on board with dimming the thing. It’s weird that you can’t just shut the thing off entirely, though.
