The popular mining platform adventure game SteamWorld Dig: A Fistful of Dirt came out on the 3DS and PC last year, and now the game is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita with HD graphics.
The game’s developer Image & Form Ceo Brjann Sigurgeirsson said the following in a press release: “When we first released SteamWorld Dig in August 2013, a lot of people immediately asked us to bring it to the Vita. But the port seemed like a ‘long’ project, and so we decided to make a stop along the way to release it for Steam first. That way, we would have single-screen play and HD graphics just begging to be brought to PlayStation. Still, now that it’s done, we never thought it would look this good.”
The main character of the game is Rusty, a mining steamboat who is navigating an old mining town in need. The object of the game is to dig for minerals and gems that you can sell to upgrade your equipment to better prepare for the opponents that await.
No official release date for the game has been announced.
