Does that headline confuse you? Well, it confuses me, too. However, indie developer Vision Trick Media claims that their new game Pavilion is a 4th-person puzzling adventure. They released a video which shows just exactly what they mean by that, which you can watch at the bottom of the page.
The video displays a small environment that a character is in, but the thing that makes it “4th-person” is that you don’t control the character, you control the environment. There will be things you can do to manipulate the environment which will then allow your character to move on and eventually complete the puzzle.
Pavilion is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita later this year. Check out the video at the top of the page.
Condemn OR Condone:
The game itself looks pretty cool, but the fact that they’re calling it 4th-person is a little strange. There have been plenty of games in which you manipulate the environment to move an actual character along, so unless those people just neglected to call those games 4th-person I really don’t see what makes this one 4th-person.

On April 22nd Batman: Arkham Origins will be getting a story add-on DLC called Cold, Cold Heart, which will feature the one and only Mr. Freeze. Now, we have an official trailer for the add-on, and though it doesn’t reveal gameplay, it packs a big punch by doing very little.
The trailer begins with Bruce Wayne accepting an award at a ceremony that is then attacked by Mr. Freeze. Everyone gets frozen to the tune of Auld Lang Syne, and we witness Mr. Freeze walk off from his massacre.
This DLC will be released for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Check out the trailer at the top of this post.
Condemn OR Condone:
This trailer is phenomenal. Even though it is very brief and shows no gameplay, the mixture of Auld Lang Syne with Mr. Freeze’s attack gave me goosebumps. It gives off a similar feeling to the one the Dead Space trailers gave me, and that is a very good thing. Here’s to hoping the actual DLC lives up to what is on display here.
Demon Gaze is an upcoming RPG for the PlayStation Vita developed by Kadokawa Games. It is a dungeon crawler and takes place thousands of years after the events of Students of the Round, which was created by the same developer. The game now has a debut trailer, showing off all of the zany characters and action contained within.
Although the game doesn’t give *too* much of the gameplay, you can really tell that it has a lot of RPG-style elements with the turn-based battle mechanic that is briefly on display. Check out the trailer below.
Condemn OR Condone:
The trailer has a lot of interesting things going on with the typically crazy-looking characters and setting. The fact that it mentions it being the next era of RPG’s, which sounds freakin’ great, in my opinion. The RPG genre is one that definitely should be more popular, so whenever a new one comes along I get this big stupid grin on my face… and it tends to stay there for a few hours.
