The Cast Of Alien Discusses How Alien: Isolation Is A Whole Different Experience

Alien: Isolation is one of many highly-anticipated games coming out in the month of October, and in a new trailer we get to see the cast of the original movie talking about how much different of an experience it is.

Many of them note how in a movie you are just a spectator, but the fact that this is a video game puts you right into the world with no escape. Check out the trailer below.

Alien: Isolation is being developed by The Creative Assembly for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC. It is scheduled for release on October 7th, 2014.

It was recently announced that, as a pre-order incentive, two bonus mission packs would be coming with Alien: Isolation that included the cast of the original Alien movie.

Alien: Isolation Crew Expendable Nostromo Edition

Pre-Order Alien: Isolation And Receive Missions Starring The 1979 Movie's Cast

Sega has revealed that those who pre-order Alien: Isolation will get two bonus mission packs that contain the cast of the 1979 movie, Alien. The characters will contain the likeness and voices of the movie’s actors, which includes Sigourney Weaver (Ellen Ripley), Tom Skerritt (Dallas), Veronica Cartwright (Lambert), Harry Dean Stanton (Brett), Yaphet Kotto (Parker) and Ian Holm (Ash).

Pre-ordering the game upgrades it to the Nostromo Edition, which includes these mission packs called Crew Expendable. The missions allow you to take control of Ellen, Dallas or Parker as you explore the sinister Nostromo ship. For the time being, Sega confirms that this content will only be available to those who pre-order the game.

Alien: Isolation creative director Alistair Hope said the following:

“Working with the original cast has been an incredible experience. It was important to us to have the key original cast members reprise their roles in order to perfectly capture the atmosphere of the movie. For some of the original cast, this is their first appearance in an Alien video game. Seeing them reprise those roles after 35 years was an unforgettable experience.”

If you’re in North America and you pre-order the game from GameStop you’ll receive an expansion called “Last Survivor”. Sega says the following on this content:

“On hearing the screams of Lambert and Parker, players must navigate their way back down through the Nostromo in order to activate the self-destruct sequence, before retracing their steps back to the Narcissus shuttle and their escape.”

'Alien: Isolation' – Lo-Fi Sci-Fi Developer Diary Displays Impressive Authenticity

Creative Assembly is truly going out for Alien: Isolation, making sure every little detail is perfect and legitimately conveys the feeling of the original Alien movie that released in the late 70’s.

Now, they have released a brand new developer diary called Lo-fi Sci-fi, which documents all the ways they are making sure the tech involved in the game and the overall look of the game feels retro and of-the-times.

Condemn (OR) Condone:

Every time I see something new from developer Creative Assembly’s Alien: Isolation, the more excited I get for the game. It is so obvious that they are completely committed to delivering a game that will blow people’s minds. October 7th can’t come soon enough.

Alien: Isolation's Release Date Is Spooky…

For some gamers, Alien: Isolation is the one game they are banking on more than any other that is releasing this year. You see, a rather dreadful game by the name of Alien: Colonial Marines came out last year and made everyone who played it vomit uncontrollably.

Thus, Alien: Isolation is the game that will, perhaps, make gamers vomit due to how scary it is rather than how bad it is. What is the release date, you may be wondering in that lovely head of yours? Well, it is October 7th, my dear reader, and will be on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.

I can’t really make a judgment on a release date, but I will say that October is a cool month to release a horror video game. At the end of the day, though, it’s all about whether or not this game can live up to its horrifying potential.

Reserved Judgment – The Alien: Isolation Developer Diary

Alien: Isolation has a lot of pressure on it, not only to get rid of the bad taste that everyone has in their mouths after last year’s Aliens: Colonial Marines, but to also deliver a game that is worthy of the Alien name.

Well, if this developer diary called Creating The Alien is anything to go by, then this game could finally be delivering what fans have been craving for years. Check out the video below.

In this video we see various people involved with the game discussing what the alien is like. We learn that the alien is huge, incredibly powerful and will be a major threat whether you’re armed or not. It will also not have any movement or strategic patterns for the player to pick up on, as it will instead adapt to the moves and choices that you are making.

Alien: Isolation will release for the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One late this year. Check out the developer diary at the top of this post.
