The upcoming prologue game Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has just been issued a price cut, Konami has announced. Now, both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game will retail fro $30, with the original prices being $40.
Konami claims that this new price point will allow more people to experience the game right away. The game’s retail price on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 is still $30 with the digital versions being $20.
Condemn OR Condone: Again, I don’t think this is so much a move to get more people to play the game as it is to get more people to player the new-gen versions. If people had a problem with the price on next gen they could have opted for the last gen versions, though now the price of both last and current gen games are the same.
