The developer of critically-acclaimed puzzle game Papers, Please has said that he is looking to bring the game to PlayStation Vita, though he is unsure if he should do it himself or hand the task off to someone else.
Speaking with VG247, developer Lucas Pope said the following:
“Up until now, I’ve been the only guy who’s ever touched the source code or anything related to the game. And that’s just kind of a control issue. A lot of people offered to just, ‘send me over the assets and codes and I’ll kick out all your localized versions, you’ll be set’, but I wanted to do it myself because it was a little but fun and because I’m a control freak.”
Condemn OR Condone:
I like that he’s protective of his material, and even though it would be much easier to just pawn the job off on someone else, I can understand why he wouldn’t want someone to potentially screw it up. I hope he does decide to do it himself, as it will probably be all the better for it.
