Last years Batman: Arkham Origins: Blackgate is making its way to consoles in a new updated version of the game. The game was previously only available on Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita.
When the game comes to consoles it will be in the form of a deluxe version, called Batman: Arkham Origins: Blackgate – Deluxe Edition. Man, that is a freakin’ mouthful if there ever was one.
The following is from the press release for the game:
“Previously available only for PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system and Nintendo 3DS™ handheld system, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate – Deluxe Edition brings the content of Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate to console and PC with enhanced high-definition 2.5-D graphics, a new map & hint system for improved navigation and objective tracking, 5.1 surround sound, a fully voiced narrative and a captivating storyline. In addition to all previous released suits, players will be able to unlock the exclusive Zero Year Batsuit skin by registering for or signing into a Warner Bros. ID (WBID) account.”
Batman: Arkham Origins: Blackgate – Deluxe Edition will be out on April 1st for PC, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360 and will retail for $19.99.
Condemn OR Condone: This game (I’m not writing its full name again) got mediocre reviews when it came out, so I doubt if fans were really clamoring for a console release. Then again, maybe this deluxe version will make right the wrongs and make it a better game in the end. Anyways, more Batman on more platforms is always a good thing in my book.
