Indie developer WaterMelon has confirmed that the HD remake of the Sega Genesis RPG will be hitting home consoles this April. It was originally scheduled to come out last December before it was hit with delays.
This game has over 50 hours of gameplay and spans over 300 locations. Confirmed consoles that the game will be coming to are PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, though there’s potential for a 3DS version in the future.
WaterMelon CEO Tulio Goncalves said the following about the Nintendo version of the game: “On Wii U, we’re definitely putting the second screen to good use, a feature that will be exclusive of that platform — well, maybe not for long if we end up making it to the 3DS, but that’s for later. We planned a few functions for the second screen that will add to the gameplay; I’m sure the Wii U players will enjoy them.”
Pier Solar HD is set to come out this April. Check out the Nintendo E-Shop trailer below.
