Mario Kart 8 Release Date Announced + Koopaling Trailer

Mario Kart 8

Mario has a lot of games coming out this year, but perhaps the most anticipated one is Mario Kart 8. We had previously heard that it was coming out sometime in May, but now we know that the official date is May 30 in both North America and Europe.

The biggest surprise that came during the Nintendo Direct presentation, however, was the announcement that all 7 of Bowser’s Koopalings will be playable in this game. This marks the first time that they have been playable characters, though they have been around since first appearing in Super Mario Bros. 3 and most recently in New Super Mario Bros. U.

The Koopalings are the following: Iggy, Morton, Lemmy, Ludwig, Roy, Wendy and Larry.

Mario Kart 8 releases on May 30th in both North America and Europe. Check out the new trailer below.
