'The Elder Scrolls Online' Delayed 6 Months For PS4 & Xbox One?

The Elder Scrolls Online released for the PC back in the beginning of April and was met with exceptionally mixed reviews. However, the console versions of the game have yet to be released, and although they were originally planned for a June release the developers have recently confirmed that that is no longer possible.

Now, developer Bethesda is claiming that an even bigger delay is coming. According to the FAQ page they are claiming that they all came to an agreement that the game needs around 6 more months of development time to get some extra polish and make this game commercially ready.

Here’s where it gets interesting, though – Very quickly after that message was posted it was deleted and the developers began banning those where were posting images or text related to this message.

So, what’s the deal? Who knows, but whatever the case may be it looks like the developers really have no clue how much longer it will take to get these console versions of the game commercially ready, and due to the mixed reception that the PC version received they are probably going to be taking their time to fix some of the glaring complaints.

The Elder Scrolls Online has arrived today, and to celebrate that occasion Bethesda has released a cinematic trailer for the MMO that shows off a fittingly-massive war scenario.

Condemn (OR) Condone:

Although cinematic trailers are a questionable way to show off what a game is really all about, there is no denying that this trailer is fantastic. I love the production values going on here, as you get the sense that this war is bigger than any war you have ever seen. There are so many different things going on, and all of them make you want to dive and see what it’s all about.
