Nintendo SPD head Shinya Takahashi has revealed some pretty big news in an interview with Kotaku, saying that two Metroid games will be coming in the near future.
He said the following:
“So it has been a while since we released the last one and we’re having discussions internally about what we can do next. So at this point we have two different types of Metroid games. We have the Prime style of Metroid game and we have the more traditional style of Metroid game.”
My Judgment:
The last Metroid game that was released was Metroid: Other M for the Wii, though that game garnered a mixed reaction from fans of the series. Hopefully, both of these upcoming games can get Samus and all those freaky aliens back on the right track, because Nintendo really could use another big franchise to knock it out of the park for the Wii U.
