Back when Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes launched, it was revealed that both PlayStation and Xbox players would be getting console-exclusive missions. For PlayStation players the mission was called Deja Vu and for Xbox players the mission was called Jamais Vu. As reportedly previously, Kojima revealed that these exclusive missions would be going multi-platform and today is that day.

In the Deja Vu mission you control Solid Snake in a setting re-imagined as the Shadow Moses from Metal Gear Solid: Tactical Espionage Action. The Jamais Vu has you controlling Raiden as he runs around the base like a mad man taking out shape-shifters all in the name of protecting mankind.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes serves as a prologue chapter to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Although there is no official release date for that game, a 2015 release is expected. There is a strong possibility that the release date will be unveiled at thus year’s E3.

'Ground Zeroes' Platform-Exclusive Levels Aren't Exclusive Anymore

When Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes released for last month, the PlayStation and Xbox versions of the game had certain levels that were exclusive to that particular platform. However, Kojima Productions has revealed that that is all about to change.

In the latest Kojima Station Podcast, the PlayStation-exclusive Deja Vu mission and the Xbox-exclusive Jamais Vu missions will be available for the other consoles via a free update on May 1st. In the Deja Vu mission you play as Solid Snake and in the Jamais Vu mission you play as Raiden.

This is really good news, in my opinion. Rather than contributing to the stupid console wars, just give both sides of the aisle the same amount of content so that everyone is happy. Releasing them as a free update is also a classy move, as they could have easily gone the DLC route.
