Midna Hyrule Warriors

Watch Midna Bring The Chaos In New Hyrule Warriors Trailer

We’re inching closer and closer to Hyrule Warriors‘ release, but for now have a new trailer that shows off Midna kicking some butt. Midna, of course, was a character from Twilight Princess that has a pretty big fanbase.

She isn’t alone, however. As you battle monsters she will be riding on wolf Link just as she was in the game, making her much more lethal than she would be otherwise. Check out the trailer below. [youtuber youtube=’http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PeWKSLq1tn0’%5D

Hyrule Warriors Release Date

News Judgment… Hyrule Warriors' Japan-Only Release Date

Last year it was announced that a game that mixed the Dynasty Warriors’ hack and slash gameplay with the Legend of Zelda universe was coming out called Hyrule Warriors. It’s pretty much a game that nobody saw coming, but one that has definitely caught everyone’s interest due to its unlikely blend.

When’s it coming out? Well, we still don’t know when it will be out here in the US, but we now know that the game will be coming to Japan on August 14th.

In Hyrule Warriors you are given the typical Dynasty Warriors formula of having a ton of enemies to slash your way through, but instead you are controlling Link as he fights through Hyrule. You will be able to use his trusty sword and shield as well as bombs and arrows. Of course, if things get too out of hand, you can also use his awesome spin attack.

Hyrule Warriors is being developed by Tecmo Koei and produced by Zelda director Eiji Aonuma.

My Judgment:

I guess I’ll have to get over the fact that us US people didn’t get a release date, but the fact that this thing is hitting Japan in August has me optimistic for a 2014 release here in the states. The concept of this game still boggles my frickin’ mind, though.
