Halo Composer Marty O'Donnell Fired From Bungie?

The composer of the Halo series Marty O’Donnell is claiming that he has been fired from Bungie without cause.

O’Donnell posted the following message on twitter:

“I’m saddened to say that Bungie’s board of directors terminated me without cause on April 11, 2014.”

Although O’Donnell claims that there was no rhyme or reason to this parting, Bungie claims that it all happened on friendly terms. Bungie said the following in a statement:

“For more than a decade, Marty O’Donnell filled our worlds with unforgettable sounds and soundtracks, and left an indelible mark on our fans. Today, as friends, we say goodbye. We know that wherever his journey takes him, he will always have a bright and hopeful future.”

Condemn (OR) Condone:

Something is definitely fishy here. If O’Donnell is claiming that he was just let go and Bungie is making it sound like it was all friendly, then it’s obvious there is more this picture. Either there was an argument, artistic differences or Bungie was just plain bored of what O’Donnell was doing, it looks like Bungie just gave him the boot. Doesn’t sound all that friendly, to me.

So, without further ado (or adon’t), here are my most anticipated video games of 2014. Continue reading
