Far Cry 4 Gameplay Video Shows Off Elephant-Fueled Destruction!

Gamers will be getting another taste of the Far Cry series at the end of this year with Far Cry 4, which had a pretty dang impressive showing at this year’s E3. Thanks to a gameplay video released by PlayStation Access, we have now been given another glimpse of how insane this game is shaping up to be.

In the video, we get a semi-gameplay commentary about a scenario involving the protagonist and an elephant. Essentially, you are able to mount an elephant and go stomping through the village as you either pick off enemies from the top of your own personal Dumbo or let Dumbo stomp, lift and throw the baddies on its own. Hell yes.

The video is freakin’ nuts, so please check it out below. [youtuber youtube=’http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6I8Tlmr0RM’%5D

Far Cry 4 is releasing for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 18th.

My Judgment:

My ticket was already sold on this game, but then they went ahead and added freakin’ elephants to the equation and now I’m beyond ecstatic. My elephant is going to demolish *so many things*…

Awesome Far Cry 4 Gameplay Footage Shown At E3

Far Cry 4 Himalayas

News Judgment… More Far Cry 4 Story Details Revealed

It was recently revealed that a sequel to the smash hit Far Cry 3 (ingeniously titled Far Cry 4) is coming later this year and is set in the Himalayas, but a pre-order page that appeared online has shed a bit more light.

“Hidden in the majestic Himalayas lies Kyrat, a country steeped in tradition and violence. You are Ajay Ghale. Traveling to Kyrat to fulfill your mother’s dying wish, you find yourself caught up in a civil war to overthrow the oppressive regime of dictator Pagan Min.”

“Explore and navigate this vast open world, where danger and unpredictability lurk around every corner. Here, every decision counts, and every second is a story. Welcome to Kyrat.”

Far Cry 4 is set to be released on last and current generation consoles as well as PC and has a release date of November 18th.

My Judgment:

Civil war? Overthrowing of oppressive regime? Crazy and unpredictable environment? I do believe the plot sounds intriguing. Hell, I may even go as far as saying it sounds fascinating. Due to the quality that this series consistently churns out and the fact that the developers are claiming to try and top everything that has come before has me a little giddy.

Reserved Judgment – Far Cry 4 Coming In The First Half Of 2015?

If the rumors are true, then it looks like the Far Cry series will be returning in 2015 with Far Cry 4 and will be moving to the Himalayas, according to Eurogamer. It’s reportedly coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Far Cry 4’s setting being in the Himalayas is a notable departure for the series, as all previous installments in the series have taken place on a tropical island. The gameplay is expected to be similar to Far Cry 3’s, though the much harsher setting is sure to bring with it new gameplay mechanics.
