Wolfenstein: The New Order was a refreshing look back at old-school FPS games with a modern polish, making it a very fun gun for any fan of the genre. The Wolfenstein series has been around for a while and has had many sequels, but some have wondered whether or not The New Order would be the end of it all.

According to Creative Director Jens Matthies, it sounds like a future for the series is very likely. Speaking with Giant Bomb, Matthies said the following:

“We would love to do a sequel. We have a very, very clear idea of what we accomplished with this game, and what we want to accomplish with a sequel.”

Considering Wolfenstein: The New Order has gotten very solid reviews across the board, it seems only natural that a sequel will pop up at some point down the line. In the midst of all the future Call of Duty and Battlefield releases, it would be great to have at least one IP that is a bit more engaging and demanding.
