As the major announcement yesterday that Batman: Arkham Knight would be releasing later this year starts to settle down, developer Rocksteady has revealed some new information about the game to tide people over.
Game Informer was the lucky magazine that got first dibs on all things Batman: Arkham Knight in their April 2014 issue, in which they talked about a whole bunch of stuff regarding this hugely anticipated game. The game will take place 1 year after the events of Arkham City, and the the city you will be able to roam around in will be much bigger.
Streets are also going to get the super-size treatment in order to accommodate for perhaps the most highly-anticipated feature, the Batmobile. You will be able to use the Batmobile to make your way around the game’s city, which make’s Batman a force to be reckoned with. To make matters even better, the Batmobile can be summoned with the push of a button, resulting in the Batmobile showing up with the pedal to the metal.
This game will also feature a villain that was created specifically for the game, though his identity is a mystery so far. Other villains include Scarecrow and Harley Quinn. Scarecrow has cooked up a brand new fear toxin that he has planted all around the city inside of bombs, which sounds like he has very good intentions for all of the city’s residents.
The last bit of news is perhaps the best news to come out of all these mini-announcements, and it is that the iconic Kevin Conroy will be reprising his role as Bruce Wayne / Batman. Fans will remember that he was replaced in the prequel, Batman: Arkham Origins, by Roger Craig Smith. It will be a great thing to have the man most people refer to as “the voice of Batman” back in the recording booth.

What can I even actually say at this point? All of this information is enough to make any Batman fan or gaming fan in general jump for joy! It didn’t take long, but Batman: Arkham Knight has quickly become one of my most anticipated games of the year.
