The popular espionage franchise Hitman is expanding to an all-new genre, according to an announcement made by Square Enix Montreal today. The developers are bringing Hitman and his big bald head to tablets and smartphones as a turn-based strategy game. The game is called Hitman Go.
According to Square Enix Montreal, even though it’s changing genres, it will still retain the essence of what makes Hitman great. The developer said the following, “You really have to think about each move and all the Hitman tools of the trade you would expect are included: disguises, distractions, sniper rifles, and even 47’s iconic Silverballers,”
The game’s setting will have “beautifully rendered diorama-style setpieces” and was developed by a “small core team” according to the developer. Hitman Go is almost ready for launch, though they did not give a specific time-frame for when gamers can expect to be able to play it.
