Two Zelda fans, named Paco Martinez and Pablo Belmonte, have been working on an HD version of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask for the past couple years, and they have just released a new video documenting the progress.
In the video we get to see a slew of character models like Link, the Happy Mask salesmen and several masks, as well as several locations. The footage looks absolutely fantastic, so I highly recommend you check it out below. [youtuber youtube=’http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zhSCoGePvk’%5D
It’s worth noting that this game is not meant to be playable, but is instead being used to show Nintendo once it is completed. They are hoping that the footage will convince the company to go ahead and remake their own version of the game.
Deepsilver has revealed all of the games that they will be displaying at this years Gamescom convention, with over 150 stations being available for attendees to play them on.
Some of the games that they are set to display that are most prominent are Metro Redux, Risen 3: Titan Lords, Sacred 3, Dead Island 2 and Emergency 5.
All of these games definitely have different kinds of appeal, although Dead Island 2 is certainly the most popular game they have set to display. Their original Dead Island was a very successful survival horror role-playing game, and the sequel is currently targeting a Spring 2015 release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Next year, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will debut for the PlayStation 4 and usher in one of Sony’s most beloved franchises on a next-gen console. The game is being helmed by Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann, who were both responsible for The Last Of Us, but don’t expect them to be bringing any themes from that game over to the Uncharted series.
Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells said the following to Eurogamer:
“Uncharted is a completely different franchise, and appeals to its audience for completely different reasons.”
He goes on to discuss the two very different tones that each game has:
“I don’t think The Last of Us marks a new direction in tone that all of our future games are going to take on. We’d alienate a lot of our Uncharted fans. We want to keep it a light-hearted romp. I think from a technical standpoint we’ve learnt some things from the Last of Us that will feed into Uncharted – in fact it strengthens our desire to keep them distinct.”
I’m very glad to hear that Uncharted will be keeping with the light-hearted tone that has come before. After the amazing response to The Last of Us and the pretty gloomy teaser that Sony showed at E3, it was starting to look like things were heading to dark territories. Uncharted remains my favorite series that Sony has going, so let’s keep what makes it great intact.

No Man’s Sky is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing games of the year, with all gameplay we have seen being space travel through a world that is infinite.
This game was shown at PlayStation’s E3 press conference earlier this year, but it has now been confirmed by the developers that the game will also be coming to the PC at a later date.
Developer Hello Games’ Sean Murray said the following in an interview with Edge Magazine:
I actually got in a bit of trouble for saying that we wanted the game to feel really ‘console-y,. We’ve always had PC in mind but in my head [console-y] means solid framerate and immediate controls. I think a PC game can be ‘console-y’ and it’s intended as a compliment, but I get in trouble for saying it.”
No Man’s Sky does not currently have a release date.
The list of free games that you will be able to download on PlayStation Plus this month has been revealed. According to a video on the PlayStation YouTube channel, it will include 2 free PS3, PS4 and PS Vita games (as always).
The following is a list of what will be available for free on each platform in the month of August:
The next game from BioWare is shrouded in mystery, with a teaser that had a lot of people wondering what the heck it’s all about. Now, a second teaser has been revealed, with this one claiming more will be revealed at this year’s GamesCom.
In the trailer we see a man sitting at a table in a restaurant drawing a picture when his phone begins to ring. He continually tries to ignore the call, but the phone keeps ringing anyway. The camera then pans out and we see a cloaked figure watching the man as all matter of supernatural frenzy occurs.

The Xbox One-exclusive fighting game, Killer Instinct, is set to make its retail debut with Killer Instinct: Combo Breaker Pack.
The pack will retail for $20 and feature 8 fighters that are currently available in the game: Fulgore, Glacius, Jago, Orchid, Sabrewulf, Sadira, Spinal and Thunder. However, the game will also come with a download code for TJ Combo, who is a new fighter that will be available in the second season of Killer Instinct.
This is a really sweet value, because the free-to-play version of the game only features one character and asks you to spend an additional $5 on each other character you with to play as. If you’ve tried the game out and would like a more fully-featured experience at a better price, this might be the perfect time.
Killer Instinct: Combo Breaker Pack will be released on September 23rd for the Xbox One.
Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai has teased another interesting bit from the upcoming Super Smash Bros. games, this time electing to show off a cameo character known from the classic arcade shooter Galaga.
The character in question is Boss Galaga, who is infamous for trying to pull the player’s ship in with its tractor beam and double its power. Boss Galaga will do the same thing in Super Smash Bros., though this time it will just lift you up off the screen.
Sakurai said the following about Boss Galaga:
“If you get caught in the Boss Galaga item’s tractor beam, it will carry you away to the top of the screen. You can shoot it down, but it won’t join you in battle for double the firepower.”
Super Smash Bros. is set to release for the 3DS on October 3rd and the Wii U by the end of the year.

You might not have been aware of it previously, but a heck of a lot of people played the Destiny beta. How many people exactly? Well, according to developer Bungie, they calculated 4,638,937 users playing the game in total.
Activision revealed has revealed that this amount of people playing the beta of a brand new franchise is a new record for betas, meaning that Destiny’s success when it releases in September is basically guaranteed.
Bungie CEO Pete Parsons said the following about the huge beta success:
“We were totally blown away by the number of people who played the beta. We surpassed even our own goals and the feedback was invaluable. We cannot thank the community enough, the response was humbling and in the weeks ahead we’ll be working hard to ensure that Destiny lives up to the expectations at launch.”
Destiny is set to release on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on September 9th, 2014.
As hype continues to raise for Assassin’s Creed Unity, Ubisoft has gone and released a really impressive cinematic trailer for the game. Although the trailer shows off excellent visuals and action, the most notable part is that it introduces a new character: a woman named Elise.
Elise is one of protagonist Arno’s allies, and she is seeking to rise through the Templar order. In the video her hands are bound as she is about to be executed, but Arno shows up and saves her as they then go back-to-back and prepare to face their enemies. Check out the trailer below. Assassin’s Creed Unity is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It’s set to release on October 28th worldwide.
The PC slice ’em up game Shadow Warrior came out last year and provided mild amounts of entertainment for all parties involved, but now we know exactly when that same games (with some extras) will be coming to consoles. Developer Devolver Digital has revealed that Shadow Warrior will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 23rd.
As mentioned previously, the console versions of Shadow Warrior will have a few new bells and whistles; including the Arena mode, more campaign content and all-new weapons.
Although a price hasn’t officially been revealed, Devolver Digital has gone on record saying that they are aiming for a $39.99 price tag.
Four new games are coming at Xbox gamers for free in August, with two games coming to Xbox 360 and the other two coming to Xbox One.
On the Xbox 360 front we have Motocross Madness that will be available for free from August 1st to August 15th. The game was originally a PC motocross racing game that was re-released on Xbox Live last year. From August 16th to August 31st gamers will have the opportunity to download the critically-acclaimed stealth game Dishonored.
Things aren’t quite as interesting on the Xbox One front. The two games that will be available to download are Crimson Dragon and Strike Suit Zero: Director’s Cut. Both of the games are types of arcade shooters, though neither one particularly blew anyone away.
Who says old-school RPGs are dead? The 3DS’ great Bravely Default has defied the odds and sold over a million copies since it was released at the beginning of this year.
Siliconera reports that 400,000 of those sales were from Japan and the other 600,000 are split between other countries. It’s no surprise the game is doing so well, as a solid RPG is hard to come by these days and Bravely Default is an example of a developer doing the genre really well.
There is already a sequel to Bravely Default that is in development, which currently has the title of Bravely Second. The developers have said that the sequel will have a more mature tone compared to the first game, as more dark and intense themes enter into the narrative. The sequel does not have a release date as of yet.
