Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will launch exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on March 18th, 2016.

Naughty Dog Will Eventually Add Vehicles To Uncharted 4’s Multiplayer

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will launch next year without vehicles available in the multiplayer, but that doesn’t mean it will stay that way forever.

Robert Cogburn, Uncharted 4‘s lead multiplayer designer, said that vehicles won’t be ready for the game’s launch, but “it is something we’re hoping to tackle in the future.”

Even though the game doesn’t officially launch until next year, buyers of the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake collection will have exclusive access to a multiplayer beta that will happen this December.

Uncharted 4’s Multiplayer Looks Pretty Sweet, Here’s A Trailer

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End‘s multiplayer was shown off a bit during Sony’s Paris Games Week conference, where we also learned how it will be running on PlayStation 4 when it launches next year.

Naughty Dog has confirmed that the multiplayer will run at 60fps and 900p, compared to the singleplayer that will run at 30fps and 1080p. This falls in line with the developer’s previous statement of shooting for 60fps in multiplayer, though sticking with the lower fps to allow for a more cinematic singleplayer.

There are some new mechanics that are being implemented into the game’s multiplayer, which are detailed below:

  • Grappling Hook: This allows you to swing around areas to either cross gaps or even drop down on enemies to deal a powerful blow.
  • Mysticals: Supernatural abilities that give players unique powers, though specific details are slim at this point.
  • Sidekicks: Call in a sidekick to help you out when the going gets tough. They’re AI-controlled and will come equipped with special abilities to change the momentum of a battle in your favor.

Naughty Dog Explains Why Uncharted 4 Will Be Getting Single-Player DLC

The Uncharted series has had 3 awesome games released over the course of several years, though not even one of them has had any kind of single-player DLC. This is going to be changing with the release of Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, however, which has left some fans scratching their heads.

Uncharted 4 A Thief's End DLC

Well, the dev spilled the beans on the reason why they are doing this at the GameStop Expo, where it was revealed that the main inspiration for doing this was attributed to the success of The Last Of UsLeft Behind DLC.

“It worked really well for us for The Last of Us. We thought we could put together a really great piece of content as well. I think we rose to the challenge for The Last of Us, so we decided we’re going to take another shot at it.”

The release of this single-player DLC will come as a part of the Uncharted Triple Pack, which will also include two multiplayer packs that contain rare multiplayer items.

Uncharted 4’s E3 Demo Was Unsurprisingly Terrific

Sony ended things with a bang in their E3 2015 press conference, as they showed off more gameplay for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. While we had seen gameplay before, this time we got our first look at Sully and his always awesome banter with Drake.

The big gameplay reveal, however, is the fact that there will be driving vehicle sections in the game. Judging from the one that they showed in the demo, these sections are going to be pretty freakin’ intense. Check out the new gameplay footage of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End below.

Uncharted 4 Upping The Hype With Banner Over Main E3 Entrance

The banners are going up over the LA Convention Center as we get closer and closer to the most anticipated gaming event of the year. As many people have been noticing on Twitter, Uncharted 4‘s Nathan Drake will be looming over one of the two main entrances at this year’s show.

While Uncharted 4 will definitely be getting the most attention, there were several other big banners that have gone up, including Batman: Arkham Knight, Battleborn and Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate.

E3 will be kicking off with Bethesda’s stream on Sunday, June 14th and will run all the way to the evening of Thursday, June 18th.
