The Next Nintendo Direct Show Will Air Tomorrow

Tomorrow we will get updates on 3DS and Wii U. Yay!

Nintendo has revealed that they will be airing a brand new Nintendo Direct show tomorrow on April Fool’s Day at 11 PM BST. It was revealed in a tweet that didn’t say anything else other than that there will be updates for 3DS and Wii U owners.

The timing of this Nintendo Direct is interesting considering that E3 is just a couple of months away, but seeing as the company isn’t as reliant on the event to relay big information anymore who knows what they’ll reveal? Hopefully something great because the delay of Zelda Wii U is still stinging.

As for me, while I don’t think anything major will be shown of it during the show, I would love to see some footage of the new Star Fox game. They said that it would be released before Zelda Wii U, and now that that game has been likely pushed into 2016 they could really give this game a push now.

New ‘The Legend Of Zelda Wii U’ Footage Revealed + New Star Fox Releasing Before It Next Year

Some great new looks at next year’s The Legend of Zelda on Wii U.

The Game Awards 2014 ended with an absolute bang when new footage of next year’s Wii U-exclusive The Legend of Zelda was shown off. Shigeru Miyamoto and Eiji Aonuma were the ones who were presenting the new gameplay, which showed off the game’s massive world and a few teases of what was contained within.

In the demonstration the point was really driven home that this upcoming game’s world is huge and will take a good while to venture through it all. A beacon system was also displayed allowing you to scope out exactly where you want to go and then jumping off a cliff and gliding towards it. It was said that apples grow on some of the trees and can be eaten by the player if they so desire, meaning this world probably has a lot more depth to it than the typical overworld.

Horse-riding was also briefly discussed, as the two gentlemen talked about how while riding the horse it will be able to control itself to maneuver around objects so you can do things like look around or even aim and shoot enemies with the bow. What was really cool about the bow shooting is that you have the ability to do this vaulting maneuver where Link shoots up into the air off of the horse and it briefly goes into slow-motion so you can pick off an enemy before even hitting the ground.

Some small talk followed where Eiji Aonuma asked Shigeru Miyamoto about the Star Fox game that he is working on, and though Miyamoto didn’t reveal too much he did announce that the game would be releasing before the new Zelda next year. You can check out this footage below.

A New Star Fox Game Is In Development For Wii U

It was only teased during today’s Nintendo Direct event, but it has now been confirmed that Shigeru Miyamoto is taking on a brand new Star Fox game for Wii U.

Miyamoto apparently showed off the game at an E3 pre-event last night, showing off how the gamepad is being used to innovate the Star Fox formula. The tilt function of the gamepad will help control Fox’s Arwing, while both the gamepad’s screen and the TV will be used for navigation.

It should be mentioned that the game is in the early stages, but Miyamoto wanted to show the game to motivate the team to finish it as quickly as possible.
