Rare Replay Could Potentially Add More Games Beyond The Initial 30

I couldn’t believe what I was seeing back when Microsoft announced Rare Replay for the Xbox One. Next week gamers are going to be able to buy a collection of 30 games for just $30, in what is without question one of the best deals ever. However, there is still some big Rare games that are not included in the package and apparently there were some games the devs wanted on there that didn’t make it.

Conker Rare Replay

Rare’s James Thomas held a Twitch livestream where he claimed that getting the amount of games down to 30 was very difficult. Here’s a snippet of what he said:

“There is a wealth of titles that we could dip into; a huge heritage beyond the 30 that we chose,” Thomas said. “But that’s what made choosing the 30 so hard in the first place. We had to put aside preferences. We hope we’ve done [that], but you never know, there could be space for more.”

This sounds to me that some potential DLC could be coming at some point down the line. One game that a lot of people want on there is Goldeneye 007, though the reason that one didn’t make it is probably due to the rights being held by several different companies. I think it would be cool of they added the remake of Conker’s Bad Fur Day, Conker: Live & Reloaded to the mix.

The Pre-Order Trailer For Rare Replay Is Adorable

Rare Replay is gearing up to hit store shelves next month, and now Xbox has released a pre-order trailer to remind everyone why they need to buy this thing ASAP.

In the trailer we get a nice little song recap of most of the things Rare has created over the past 30 years (minus the crappy Kinect games) with dozens of Rare characters as cardboard cutouts. It’s charming, it’s funny and it really brings on the nostalgia. Check out the video directly below.

Rare Replay launches exclusively for the Xbox One on August 4th and will cost $30.

The Massive File Size Of Rare Replay Has Been Revealed

During Microsoft’s E3 2015 press conference they announced a new game called Rare Replay, which collects 30 games developed by Rare with a ridiculously cheap price tag of $30. However, with there being 30 games on this thing people were wondering just how much space it all would be taking up on their already overflowing Xbox Ones.

Well, the file size for the entire package has been revealed and it is massive. If you were to download every game in the package it would take up over 50 GB of space on your hard drive, though luckily you don’t have to download it all at once. You will need to download the games that were not available digitally on Xbox 360 on their own, which will equal to just over 11 GB. However, the rest of the game’s will simply be added to your download queue and you can initiate them whenever you’re ready for them.

Microsoft Releasing Xbox One ‘Rare Replay’ With 30 Games For $30

In one of my favorite announcements of E3 so far, Microsoft revealed that a new collection of Rare games is coming exclusively to Xbox One.

This game, called Rare Replay, contains 30 classic Rare games all in one package. This isn’t even the most amazing part of this, as it was also revealed that the package will cost just $30.

30 games for $30. Are you freakin’ kidding me?!

Some of the games that are included in this package are Perfect Dark, Banjo Kazooie, Battletoads, Conkers Bad Fur Day and a heck of a lot more. Check out the announcement trailer below.
