Rise of the Tomb Raider is set to launch for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 10th, 2015. The PC version of the game will launch in the Spring of next year, whereas the PlayStation version won’t launch until the Fall of next year.
Rare Replay is gearing up to hit store shelves next month, and now Xbox has released a pre-order trailer to remind everyone why they need to buy this thing ASAP.
In the trailer we get a nice little song recap of most of the things Rare has created over the past 30 years (minus the crappy Kinect games) with dozens of Rare characters as cardboard cutouts. It’s charming, it’s funny and it really brings on the nostalgia. Check out the video directly below.
Rare Replay launches exclusively for the Xbox One on August 4th and will cost $30.
The development of Phantom Dust has hit some serious road bumps, so much so that the game has fallen pretty much completely off the radar in recent months. When asked if the game would be making an appearance at the upcoming Gamescom event, Xbox boss Phil Spencer said that it would not.
However, he also reiterates that they are committed to making the game come to fruition, though the timeline for when that might happen is anyone’s guess. The game’s original developer Darkside is no longer attached to the project after having a falling out with Microsoft, but reports claim that this game is a project that Phil Spencer is very adamant about.
If you haven’t already, consider checking out the leaked gameplay footage of the version of the game developer Darkside was working on before things went south directly below.
World Of Tanks will be making its way to the Xbox One next week with some brand new gameplay features.
The game will be getting a graphical overhaul for the Xbox One version, but it will also support cross-platform multiplayer with the Xbox 360 version. Shared content and progress across the two consoles will also be possible with an Xbox Live account.
Xbox Live Gold members will be able to download the game completely free when it launches on July 28th, though if not you’ll still be able to take part in a seven-day free trial.
The Xbox One is set to be adding dozens of Xbox 360 games to its library by the end of the year via backwards compatibility, and now another big hitter is lining up to join the fray.
According to Criterion Games, they are in discussions with Microsoft to bring Burnout Paradise to the Xbox One via backwards compatibility. Nothing is confirmed yet, but they claimed that they will have more news soon via twitter.
As for me, I absolutely loved Burnout Paradise back when it launched in 2008. Even though I’m not a hardcore racing fan, that game had an awesome open world to explore with tons of things to do and mayhem to cause. Gonna be honest, though, this news just makes me crave another entry in the series even more.
Microsoft has released the list of free games that Xbox Live Gold members can download as part of the Games With Gold promotion for next month, and this time they’re upping the ante.
To celebrate the two year anniversary of Games With Gold, Microsoft will now be offering not just two free games on Xbox 360, but also two free games on Xbox One. Also, this change is permanent and all future free Games With Gold will contain the same amount of free games.
Enough with all the chit chat, scroll down to see what games will be available for each console and for how long.
– Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag / free for entire month
– So Many Me / free from July 16th – August 15th
– Plants vs. Zombies / free from July 1st – July 15th
– Gears Of War 3 / free from July 16th – July 31st
In one of my favorite announcements of E3 so far, Microsoft revealed that a new collection of Rare games is coming exclusively to Xbox One.
This game, called Rare Replay, contains 30 classic Rare games all in one package. This isn’t even the most amazing part of this, as it was also revealed that the package will cost just $30.
30 games for $30. Are you freakin’ kidding me?!
Some of the games that are included in this package are Perfect Dark, Banjo Kazooie, Battletoads, Conkers Bad Fur Day and a heck of a lot more. Check out the announcement trailer below.
