Konami Halts Production On All Major AAA Games (Except PES)

The woes of Konami continue as they have apparently halted production on all of their major AAA games apart from the Pro Evolution Soccer series.

This news comes just hours after it was revealed that Fox Engine overseer Julien Merceron had left the studio. The news has not been confirmed by Konami yet, but all of the signs are certainly pointing towards this being true.

As for what Konami has left for AAA production that isn’t a soccer game, Metal Gear Online will launch early next month and may very well be the last big thing we see from the Metal Gear Solid franchise.

Metal Gear Online Looks Great So Far

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain got a gameplay demo today for its online mode courtesy of Konami, and so far the mode is looking great.

Throughout the demo we get a solid look at many different facets of the gameplay, such as linking with allies to see where they’re aiming, using Fulton recovery on enemies to gain additional points and a lot more.

Metal Gear Online will be downloadable for free with all copies of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. It will launch on October 6th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Check out the gameplay demo for Metal Gear Online below.
