If you can possibly manage to put down Fallout 4 and dive into iOS and Android’s Fallout Shelter, then the devs have some very good news for you. A new update has been released for the game, with the entire thing being themed around Thanksgiving.
The content that the update brings seems to be more aesthetic than anything else, with Thanksgiving-themed costumes and decorations being the major additions to the game. Scroll down for the announcement of the update revealed by the official Fallout twitter account.
In case it wasn’t completely clear to everyone, people really love the new Fallout Shelter iOS game. In fact, people love it so much that it is currently the #1 game on the App Store with over 70 million plays per day.
These numbers are especially impressive when you realize that the game has even toppled the long-reigning #1 Candy Crush, which has been a phenomenon for years now. It’s become a massive hit in over 40 countries across the globe, and it shows no signs of slowing down.
Here’s what Bethesda’s tame director Todd Howard said on the matter:
We play games on our phones all the time, and have always wanted to make one. To have our first mobile game be enjoyed by so many is stunning. It just shows that gamers appreciate more depth and being treated fairly.
Fallout Shelter is currently available for the iPhone and iPad, with the Android version expected to launch in a few months.
