The game that put the Souls series on the map, Demon’s Souls, is currently only available on the PlayStation 3, but a mysterious tweet from developer From Software may be hinting at a release on PlayStation 4.
From the picture shown above we see every retail release of Bloodborne, though, interestingly enough, at the top of the pile we also see a lone copy of Demon’s Souls. Of course, there is no explanation with the tweet, so everyone is left to their own devices to try and figure out what it means.
The timing of this tweet is all the more suspicious considering Sony’s PlayStation Experience is right around the corner, so we could be getting some kind of announcement very soon. Demon’s Souls is just as awesome as any other game in the incredibly consistent Souls series, so it would be great to see it on current-generation hardware.
Bloodborne is set to be getting a paid expansion later this month called The Old Hunters, but it is also getting a free patch that will be bringing some new content of its own.
The things that the patch brings to the table that isn’t The Old Hunters-related are a new covenant, new co-op partners and a summoning bell for chalice dungeons.

Bloodborne will be getting a paid expansion this month called The Old Hunters, but for those of you who won’t be purchasing it will still be glad to know that you’ll still be getting some new content.
Writing on the PlayStation Blog, SCE Japan Studio Producer Maasaki Yamagiwa detailed what this new free content is all about:
- A new covenant is being added to the fray called The League, which allows you to assist other players online and compete in online leaderboards.
- Additional NPC summons are being added, allow you to bring in more characters to help you get through rough spots in the game.
A release date for this free update was not given, but the paid expansion called The Old Hunters will release on November 25th.
Bloodborne got some love at Paris Games Week with a new trailer being revealed for the game’s upcoming expansion, The Old Hunters. If you missed the trailer you can check it out below.
While nothing huge was revealed as a result of this trailer, it did show off a new weapon and boss featured in the game. Unsurprisingly, things look really grim and I’m more than likely going to die 500 times while playing it.
The Old Hunters will be available to download exclusively on PlayStation 4 on November 24th, 2015.
The PlayStation 4-exclusive Bloodborne launched earlier this year and garnered both critical and commercial success, easily becoming one of the best games released in 2015. However, devs usually wait until a game has actually won a game of the year award before they release a game of the year edition, but Bloodborne devs From Software are skipping all of that noise.
On November 25th, Bloodborne Game of the Year Edition will launch for PlayStation 4, and the only thing different that it will include is The Old Hunters DLC. It will still cost $59.99 and will still contain every ounce of the unforgiving gameplay that the original version contained.

Bloodborne is yet another extremely difficult game in an extremely difficult series, and for those who try to get platinum trophies the games are even more of a nightmare.
However, if you’re a European gamer and you’ve managed to get the Platinum trophy then Sony has a little surprise waiting for you. What you get is an exclusive PlayStation 4 theme of Bloodborne, and as you can tell from the photo above it looks pretty friggin’ sick.
I have no idea why this is only for European gamers, though. What’s the deal, Sony? You don’t like us other people?
In a couple of months Hunters will have a new reason to return to Bloodborne‘s Yharnam, as Sony has just announced a new expansion for the game called The Old Hunters.
This expansion will launch on November 24th, 2015 and though details are scarce it is expected to be a fully-fledged expansion with new areas, bosses, etc..
To make matters even better for those who haven’t taken the plunge into enjoyable misery yet, Bloodborne will be getting a game of the year edition a month later that contains the base game AND The Old Hunters DLC. Prepare to die some more!
