Heavy Rain And Beyond: Two Souls PS4 Release Details Revealed

David Cage’s two PlayStation 3-exclusives, Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, will be making their way to PlayStation 4 and much faster than anyone might have guessed.

Quantic Dream co-CEO Guillaume de Fondaumiere wrote on the PlayStation Blog revealed that Beyond: Two Souls will be releasing next week on November 24th. It will be released for PSN for $29.99 and will come packed with several enhancements over the original. Scroll down for a list of improvements:

  • Enhanced 1080p graphics including motion blur, bloom and depth of field effects, as well as improved lighting and shadows.
  • Decisions are highlighted at the end of each scene and compared with those made by other players.
  • Upon completion of the game you will be able to play the originally disjointed narrative in chronological order.
  • Increased difficulty in certain fight scenes, as well as improved controls for action sequences.
  • “Enhanced Experiments” DLC

Heavy Rain still has a ways to go before it has its time to shine on PS4, as it won’t be launching until March 1st, 2016. Enhancements have not yet been released for the PS4 version, though we do know that if you purchase the PS4 version of Beyond: Two Souls you will get an extra discount when buying the PS4 version of Heavy Rain.

Quantic Dream To Reveal Big News Early Next Year

Something great news is coming in January, but the definition of great is currently up for grabs.

Quantic Dream and David Cage are responsible for delivering what many consider to be the most cinematic experiences that gaming has to offer with both Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls. However, the developer was completely silent throughout 2014, with only a brief rumor that their most recent game would be getting a port to the PlayStation 4.

Well, it looks like bigger and better things are planned for 2015, as the developers official Facebook page posted the following message:

“Some great news coming in January!”

Now, this could simply be the announcement of the previously rumored port of Beyond: Two Souls and maybe even Heavy Rain, but I’m personally hoping for news on their first PlayStation 4 title. It’s probably a little too soon for their next game to be coming out, but just hearing about what these awesome people have in the works is more than worth getting excited about.

‘Titanfall’, ‘Batman: Arkham Origins’ & More Discounted Today On Amazon

In what is a bit of surprising news, Respawn Entertainment‘s hugely-popular FPS game Titanfall is being offered for a big discount today on Amazon as part of their Deal of the Day program. You can get the smash-hit that just released last month for just $37.

This deal is available for all versions of Titanfall, which is available on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. However, Amazon notes that the Xbox 360 version of the game may require an additional day or two to process.

Elsewhere on Amazon, today’s Lightning Deals aren’t too shabby either. The following is a list of games and the time they will be available for a discount.

  • 9AM EDT – Skylanders SWAP Force Spy Rise and Rubble Rouser
  • 1PM EDT – Turtle Beach Ear Force PX51 Premium Wireless Dolby Digital PS4, PS3, Xbox 360 Gaming Headset
  • 3PM EDT – Turtle Beach Marvel Seven: Limited Edition Gaming Headset
  • 5PM EDT – Skylanders SWAP Force Single Characters
  • 9PM EDT – Batman: Arkham Origins – Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, 3DS, PS Vita
  • 1AM EDT – Beyond: Two Souls – PS3

Condemn (OR) Condone:

Considering it’s been selling like mad and it has only been out for one month has me shocked that any retailer would discount Titanfall so much, even if it is only for a day. If you already have Titanfall, some other quality games like Batman: Arkham Origins and Beyond: Two Souls are definitely ones to watch out for. Good day for gaming deals!

shhThe website also mentions a GameStop pre-order bonus. If you pre-order the game you will get additional scene DLC and a free upgrade to the special edition. The special edition includes an exclusive steelbook premium packaging, extensive behind the scenes features, a soundtrack, a dynamic PS3 theme and PSN avatar pack.shh

I personally can’t wait for this game to drop, as Heavy Rain was an experience unlike any other. Games have really come a long way, and with Heavy Rain and now Beyond: Two Souls we are seeing them become more and more like interactive movies. It will be difficult for David Cage to top his debut, but from what I’ve seen so far he is certainly on the right track.
