Avalanche Shows Off Just Cause 3 In 4K

Just Cause 3 is aiming to be this year’s big open-world destruction game not too far off from last year’s Far Cry 4, and now the devs have released a new trailer showing off how good the game looks in 4K.

Unsurprisingly, it looks incredible. The amount of detail on display is phenomenal and the game’s world is just jaw dropping. Shame that we’ll have to blow up most of it, but it least we’ll be doing it in style!

Just Cause 3 launches for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on December 1st, 2015.

Just Cause 3 Developers Fired Prior To The Game’s Launch

How’s this for a thanks for all your hard work? Developer Avalanche Studios has laid off around 24 staff members who previously worked on Mad Max earlier this year and Just Cause 3 that will release next month.

So, what gives? Well, a representative of Avalanche Studios spoke with Game Informer and they said the following:

“The transition between major projects is always challenging, especially for independent developers,” ¬†a representative told us via email. “We have just completed one project and are currently wrapping up another. In starting up our new projects, we were not able to perfectly match the team sizes and skill sets of the previous ones, and we unfortunately had to let some talented developers go. 12 developers were given notice in New York. There was a similar number of notices given this summer in Stockholm, but right now we are in the process of rehiring some of those who left. We expect to keep hiring in the new year. This unfortunate event does not affect any of our current projects, and we’re taking measures to avoid situations like this in the future.”

In other words: you’re fired! Merry Christmas!

Here’s The (LAME) Exclusive Content For Mad Max on PlayStation 4

Mad Max is launching tomorrow on current-gen consoles and PC, though the PlayStation 4 version of the game will be coming with some exclusive content. Just what is the exclusive content, you may be wondering?

Hood ornaments. The exclusive content is hood ornaments.

I don’t know about you, but this definitely isn’t something that’s going to sway me towards the PlayStation 4 version over any other one. Why even bother with exclusive content when *that* is all that it is?

Just Cause 3’s Interactive Choose Your Own Chaos Trailer Is Awesome

Just Cause 3 is on the horizon and will be looking to bring its open-world chaos to current-generation consoles for the very first time. Thanks to a new interactive trailer called Choose Your Own Chaos, we now have a very solid look at the multiple types of chaos the game has to offer and the multiple ways we can go about creating said chaos.

Basically, throughout the course of the several videos I went through I got to see the protagonist parachute into the city, use a farmer’s tractor to take down a dictator’s statue, utilize a massive structure as an explosive bowling ball to blow up a power plant, get in a chopper to blow up a bridge then hop in a tank to obliterate¬†an enemy base. Yup, there was a heck of a lot of adrenaline and I think you should just take the journey yourself via the opening video directly below to fully grasp the insanity.
