The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed that there is going to be a new entry in the main series of Ace Attorney games, for now just referred to as Ace Attorney 6.
Not a whole lot is known about what this game has to offer, but according to Kotaku the game will have faster gameplay mechanics to keep things moving quickly. The game is also set to be playable at on 3DS at the Tokyo Game Show on September 17 – 20.
While I’m unfortunately not too familiar with the Ace Attorney games, I’m glad to know that it’s still going strong. There’s also a prequel game in the works called The Great Ace Attorney, which is set around 100 years prior to the events of the main series and will even contain Sherlock Holmes as one of the characters.
3 Ace Attorney games for the price of one on 3DS!
The Phoenix Wright Trilogy from Capcom will be headed to the 3DS this December, the developer revealed at a panel during the New York Comic Con.
The Phoenix Wright Trilogy features remastered versions of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Justice For All and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Trials and Tribulations. The compilation will be available digitally through the 3DS eShop for $29.99.
Not a lot of information was revealed in regards to whether or not this compilation will bring anything new to the games, but improved visuals are a certainty and I’m guessing they’ll play around with the 3D a bit. Just imagine seeing Phoenix Wright shout OBJECTION as he pops right out of the screen at you. That just may be worth the price of admission, alone!
The Phoenix Wright Trilogy is developed by Capcom for the 3DS and is set to be released on December 9th.
Sorry, everyone, no Deep Down this time.
Capcom has revealed their TGS (Tokyo Game Show) game line up today, which features a good variety of different genres of games. They are Monster Hunter 4G, Dai Gyakuten Saiban (the new Ace Attorney!), Gaist Crusher God, Kinki No Magna and Bakamatsu Rock Soul. Some of these games sound like must-haves from the titles alone!
Interestingly, Capcom will not be showing Deep Down, which is a dungeon crawler RPG that is headed exclusively to the PlayStation 4. The game isn’t set to come out until sometime in 2015, though, so maybe they’re just polishing some things up to make a bigger and better demonstration later.
TGS runs from September 18th to September 21st. Get more info on all of the games set to appear at the convention right here.
The Ace Attorney creator Shu Takumi is working on a brand new Ace Attorney game called The Great Ace Attorney, but has revealed that this one will be set 100 years in the past and will star an ancestor of Phoenix Wright.
Famitsu (via Siloconera) revealed that the game is set during the late 1800‘s and stars a character named Ryunosuke Naruhodo, though it is expected that the character’s name last name will be Wright in the American release.
The Great Ace Attorney is set to release for the 3DS, although an official release date has yet to be announced.
Condemn (OR) Condone:
This sounds like it could be a breath of fresh air for the series. Imagine having court cases and investigations without the technology that exists today. Now *that* would be pretty cool to see!
