2K Games Teasing New Sci-Fi Game Called Advent

Move in today and FEAR the world of tomorrow!

Rumors had been swirling about a new game coming from 2K coming soon, and now it looks like that game is called Advent.

The publisher is currently teasing the game on twitter, where they posted a GIF that you can check out below:

The game also has a website called AdventFuture, which is an advertisement for a new technology that will apparently help everyone overcome hunger, illness and pain. However, there is something sinister beneath the surface of all of this, displayed by the above GIF. The text that at first reads, “Move in today and start living in the world of tomorrow!” briefly changes to, “Move in today and FEAR the world of tomorrow!” Hmm…

‘Borderlands 3’ Is In Development Exclusively For Next-Gen Consoles

Borderlands 3 will be a next-gen exclusive, so those who haven’t joined the new generation better start saving up!

It was recently revealed that Gearbox Software are beginning to work on Borderlands 3, announcing that the time has come for the series to continue. Now, Take Two president Karl Slatoff stated in an earnings call that the third game in the series is in development “specifically for next-gen consoles”. So, those who are still exclusively last-gen owners and who are also Borderlands fans will need to start saving up if they wish to experience the third one.

This isn’t the biggest surprise, however, as it was recently revealed that both Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel would be remastered in 1080p for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as part of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. The pack gets its name from the fact that both games feature the beloved Handsome Jack, who is probably the best character the series has come up with yet. There are currently no plans to release the original Borderlands on next-gen consoles.

Even though Borderlands 3 is still a ways off, the series is still going strong thanks to the Telltale Games collaboration called Tales From The Borderlands. The first episode was released at the end of last year and episode two is expected to be arriving soon.

2K Games Reveals Borderlands: The Handsome Collection For Current-Gen

Borderlands is making the leap to current-gen in a few months.

It was only a matter of time, wasn’t it? 2K Games has revealed that a current-gen port bundle of two Borderlands games is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in a few months. The two games that are being included are Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 2, which is why it’s called the Handsome Collection as both games feature Handsome Jack. It’s set to release on March 24th in the USA and March 27th elsewhere and will retail for $59.99.

As far as interesting features go, the collection will feature cross-save with previous versions of the game that is dependent on console family. For example: if you own a PlayStation 3 version of Borderlands 2 then you will be able to import your data to the PlayStation 4 version but not the Xbox One version.

While this is all well and good for those who haven’t taken the plunge into the world of Borderlands (though if you haven’t why the heck not?!), for everyone else this sounds like something that is completely skippable. What I’m hoping for is the announcement of Borderlands 3, as it’s high time that we got a true sequel.

Check out the announcement trailer for the collection below.

The Newly-Revealed Wraith From ‘Evolve’ Scares Me

The third monster from Turtle Rock Studios’ Evolve has be revealed, and it is one freaky SOB.

Turtle Rock Studios have some viscous beasts for the 4 hunters in Evolve to take on next year, and now we finally know what the third monster is. Thanks to a new trailer we get our first look at the Wraith, which you can tell from the title of this article that is scares me. It’s one thing to have a gigantic beast that lay waste to everything in its path, but when you have when that can fly around and disappear and reappear out of nowhere then all bets are off.

As you can see from the trailer, the Wraith is incredibly fast, can disappear suddenly and even split into two parts. It looks like it’s going to be an absolute nightmare to deal with, which is heightened by the fact that its very appearance gives me the damn chills. I mean just look at that thing! Get it the hell away from me!

Evolve is developed by Turtle Rock Studios published by 2K Games for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It’s set to launch on February 10th, 2015.
