Finally, we know when this highly-anticipated game will hit shelves.
Finally, the highly anticipated Beyond: Two Souls release date has been announced as this October 8th. The game is from Quantic Dream and directed by David Cage, who were behind 2010’s phenomenal Heavy Rain. It will be exclusive to the PS3.
This is the plot synopsis from PlayStation.com:
“Born with a connection to a mysterious entity with incredible powers, Jodie was different. In an adventure spanning 15 years of her life, your actions will determine Jodie’s fate as she faces extraordinary challenges, danger, and heartwrenching loss on a journey to discover the truth of who she is. Beyond promises an emotionally-charged journey unlike any video game before.”
The game will be using real-life actors Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe as the lead characters.
The website also mentions a GameStop pre-order bonus. If you pre-order the game you will get additional scene DLC and a free upgrade to the special edition. The special edition includes an exclusive steelbook premium packaging, extensive behind the scenes features, a soundtrack, a dynamic PS3 theme and PSN avatar pack.
I personally can’t wait for this game to drop, as Heavy Rain was an experience unlike any other. Games have really come a long way, and with Heavy Rain and now Beyond: Two Souls we are seeing them become more and more like interactive movies. It will be difficult for David Cage to top his debut, but from what I’ve seen so far he is certainly on the right track.
Square Enix has just made an announcement that Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix will be launching in the U.S. and Europe this fall.
The compilation package contains the games Re: Chain of Memories and Final Mix, as well as cutscenes from 358/2 days.
It will also have full trophy support and bonus content, such as new weapons, abilities and cutscenes.
I personally cannot wait for this to come. You many not know this about me (or maybe you do… which would be kinda creepy) but I am a HUGE Kingdom Hearts fan, so any chance I have to play a new one and I will LUNGE at it! Some of this content I have already experienced, but overall this is something I can’t miss. I JUST CAN’T, DAMMIT!
PlayStation 4 is looking great so far!
It’s official, everyone! PS4 was announced last night at a live event in New York, and put months of speculation to rest on console titles, controller designs and release date time-frames. The presentation lasted over 2 hours and was followed by pretty much anyone with even a hint of an interest in gaming. Interestingly enough, the actual system was not shown at the event, though there certainly was no shortage of other details. Continue reading “PlayStation 4 System Details & Confirmed Games Revealed”
