Discover Your Wild Side With The ‘Far Cry 4’ “Experiential Website”

What Are You Made Of?

Ubisoft has revealed a Far Cry 4 digital platform called What Are You made Of?, which is an experiential website that will take players through several different scenarios in which their actions decide the outcome. All of the scenarios will be linked in some way to the insane world of Far Cry 4.

The following are the 4 different scenarios, or “rites of passage”, that the player will go through:

  • A deadly face-to-face encounter with “An eye for an eye”
  • An impenetrable mind maze with “Rabbit hole”
  • A hypnotic trance with  “Mind Blossom”
  • A blindfolded sound chase with  “Escape”

These rites are set to be released on a weekly basis and consist of interactive films where the player must make a series of time-sensitive decisions. There are apparently 42 million different routes that you can take that would take about 100 days to witness every possibility, so I guess you better get going!

The details for this experiential website will be on the game’s website right here. A teaser for this experience was also released, and you can check that out right below.

‘Far Cry 4’ May Get A Spin-Off Similar To Far Cry 3’s ‘Blood Dragon’

Don’t expect another Blood Dragon, but something else that is just as weird.

Far Cry 3 got plenty of praise when it launched at the end of 2012, but what took many by surprise was just how solid its download spin-off, Blood Dragon, ended up being. It took the core of Far Cry 3 and threw it into the ’80’s, complete with all of that decade’s cliches and bombast.

Now that Far Cry 4 is very close to release, many are wondering if that game will also get a spin-off title at some point. Far Cry 4‘s creative director Alex Hutchinson was asked by Red Bull whether or not such a thing was in the works, and Hutchinson said the following:

“We’re talking about it… you never know. The goal would be to be surprising, so it wouldn’t be another Blood Dragon, but hopefully something equally as odd and left field.”

Far Cry 4 is developed by Ubisoft Montreal for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It’s set to be released on November 18th.

Pagan Min Is A Freaking Nut, Check Out His New ‘Far Cry 4’ Trailer

Pagan Min? Yeah, he’s a nut.

Ever since the first Far Cry 4 trailer was revealed we knew that the game’s antagonist was an absolute nut. However, if you somehow didn’t pick that up yet from any of the game’s promotional material then this trailer will certainly do the trick.

In what is called Pagan Min: King of Kyrat, we get to see a quick glimpse into the world of Min as well as some of those in his company. One of them tries to text for help, which results in Min being amused and proceeding to humiliate and frighten the poor soul.

Check out the Pagan Min: King of Tyrat trailer below.

Far Cry 4 is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It’s set to release on November 18th, 2014.

‘Watch Dogs’ Not Getting Any DLC On Wii U

Sorry, Wii U owners.

In November Nintendo fans will finally be able to try out the long-delayed Wii U version of Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs, giving the often neglected fans a big multi-platform game. However, it appears that Ubisoft is, once again, kicking Nintendo fans in the balls by revealing that any DLC that appears on other platforms will not appear on the Wii U.

This is a complete surprise to me, as you would think that Ubisoft would want to give something to all the people that had to wait several months for the game to release. Why not package in a DLC or two just to say thanks for your patience? Well, it appears that’s beyond Ubisoft’s capabilities and they are instead backtracking to their previous neglect for Nintendo and its hardware.

Sure, the sales of the Wii U are hardly anything to brag about and Ubisoft doesn’t stand to make all that much for releasing it on the platform, but where you have already made the decision to release it on Wii U at the cost of several delays to optimize it for the system’s hardware you need to follow through completely. This comes off more to me like a company that was never fully sold on the idea of releasing the game on Wii U in the first place and spent countless days going back and forth on whether or not they were serious about it or not.

I think it’s safe to say that any future sequel release potential on Wii U is slim to none.

Elephants Are All You Need In This New ‘Far Cry 4’ Trailer

It’s no secret that Far Cry 4 contains elephants… lots and lots of elephants. We saw when the game was revealed that you can mount said elephants, using them to lay waste to your foes while looking pretty damn cool whilst doing so.

Well, the creators of Far Cry 4 have realized that they haven’t given the world enough info about these elephants, so they have gone ahead and released a new trailer that focuses entirely on – you guessed it –  ELEPHANTS. Check it out below.

Far Cry 4 is developed by Ubisoft Montreal for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Condemn O.R. Condone:

I’m interested in Far Cry 4 because of elephants, and this trailer gave me more elephants. As you can imagine, this trailer made me happy.

New Assassin’s Creed Unity Trailer Speaks Of An Uprising

It’s time for an uprising.

Ubisoft will be releasing not one, but two new Assassin’s Creed games this year, although Assassin’s Creed Unity is definitely the one that is getting a heck of a lot more time in the limelight. Unity is the new Assassin’s Creed game that will be exclusive to new-gen consoles, and will be the first game to feature cooperative multiplayer

Now, today Ubisoft has revealed a brand new trailer for the game that features narration that speaks of an impending revolution. The people are oppressed and are willing to take drastic action to turn the tide in their favor, and their symbol of hope is a young master assassin named Arno. This guy basically takes no crap from no one, and is pretty much guaranteed to have about a million people on his sh*t list.

Check out the brand new Assassin’s Creed Unity trailer below.

Assassin’s Creed Unity is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, with a scheduled release date of October 28th, 2014.

Ubisoft Reveals What Happened To Rainbow Six: Patriots

The Rainbow Six series has been absent for a while now, though with the recent announcement of Rainbow Six: Siege at this year’s E3 the series is finally making a comeback. However, another game called Rainbow Six: Patriots was in development for several years and now has disappeared completely. What gives?

Ubisoft revealed what happened to Patriots and why the focus shifted to Siege in an interview with Rock, Paper, Shotgun. Ubisoft said the following about wanting a next-gen experience:

“To be completely transparent, I worked on Patriots – on Rainbow Six for three-and-a-half years – and Patriots was old-gen. Xbox 360 and PS3. Next-gen consoles were just around the corner, and we were like, ‘OK, we want to also have a next-gen experience. What can we do for that?’

He goes in to reveal that last-gens limitations ultimately solidified their decision to switch gears:

“We were trying stuff out with destruction technology, and we realized destruction really changes the game. We tried to see how it could fit with old-gen, but it just didn’t work out. So for us it was just a better solution to clean the slate, reset, and make what’s best for the players.

My Judgment:

I personally have no problems with this decision at all, because Rainbow Six: Siege was one of my favorite reveals of this year’s E3. It’s a shame that a game that was in development for so long will probably never see the light of day, but the fact that their new focus looks so promising  more than makes up for it.
