Xbox One Getting A New Controller After E3

A slight new change will make a big difference for headphone fans.

It looks like some changes will be coming to the Xbox One controller very soon, according to a post on Microsoft’s website.

The current version of the controller has an audio jack that must be used with an adapter that is sold separately to use with headphones. This new version of the controller will be doing away with that completely (eliminating the middle man!), with the controller having the standard 3.5mm jack.

Other than this, it’s unknown if any other changes will be coming to the controller. Honestly, I would love it if they revealed that the new controller came with a built-in battery pack like every other current console on the market. Come on, Microsoft, get with the times!

You can check out a screenshot of the page detailing the controller below. Xbox One New Controller

WildStar Officially Going Free-To-Play This Fall

Another big MMO is going free to play, and the crowd goes wild!

WildStar will be dropping its monthly subscription fee and going free-to-play this fall, the developers have confirmed.

What this news means is that every player will be able to reach the level 50 cap, acquire all abilities, and will have access to all PVP and PVE content absolutely free. While there will still be an optional monthly fee, it will only be for bonus and aesthetic items that only the most hardcore players will even care about.

Not to leave the loyal customers who have been paying a monthly fee for the game in the dust, the devs also revealed that they will provide loyalty rewards for those who have held a subscription. These will range from a wide variety of things like new mounts, pets and more.

This is great news, in my opinion, as I think the monthly subscription fee for these games is nuts. I know that they regularly add new content, but for people who don’t plan on sinking ridiculous amounts of time into the game is it really worth it? I think with the free-to-play model more gamers are likely to try it out, seeing as that steep barrier of entry will be gone. Sweet news in my book!

Explore Tamriel In The Final ‘This Is The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited’ Video

Check out the final part of the video series documenting everything about The Elder Scrolls Online.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited will be making its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next month, and the video series that the devs have been creating for it has now released its final part.

The video, called Exploring Tamriel, goes into the grand scope that the game has with its 9 massive areas including ones from previous games in the series. It also goes into some of the major characters and the 3-way war that is going on between them, with tons of other info stuffed in throughout. Check it out below.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited is developed by ZeniMax Online Studios for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It’s set to launch on June 9th, 2015.

The Beautiful World Of The Witcher Video Is… Well… Beautiful

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt launched earlier this month and just about everyone has said it’s amazing, and now the devs are keeping the good times rolling with a new video showing off the game’s awesome visuals.

In this brief video we get to take a look at several of the game’s gorgeous areas, including areas with lush forests, mountains and sweet medieval architecture. Check it out below.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is developed by CD Projekt Red for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Here Are The Free PlayStation Plus Games For June 2015

A solid variety of games for those with an active PlayStation Plus subscription.

It’s the end of the month, so that means it’s time to start rolling out the list of games that gamers with a PlayStation Plus subscription will be getting for free in June 2015. This time we have four – count ’em – FOUR whole games that will be available to download for PlayStation 4, with two of those being cross-buy with the PlayStation Vita and the other two games for PlayStation 3. If your math skills aren’t so hot (and mine aren’t either) that means another 6 free games will be yours for free next month!

Interested in what these free games are? Well, scroll down for a complete list with descriptions from the PlayStation Blog provided.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (PS4)

A visually stunning chapter in a long-running, deeply complex series. This nail-biting mission onto a Cuban military base follows Snake as he attempts to rescue Paz from enemy imprisonment.

Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition (PS4)

This turn-based strategy game turned a lot of undead heads with its story of a Samurai Afterlife. Build an army of the undead, battle your opponents, and regain your honor.

Super Exploding Zoo (PS Vita | PS4)

Players must defend all the precious animal eggs in the zoo from evil aliens who want to eat said eggs. How do you defend these tasty treats? With a herd of explosive animals, obviously.

Futuridium EP Deluxe (PS Vita | PS4)

A psychedelic, retro-inspired shooter with crazy action, puzzle elements, and a bumping electronic soundtrack. May or may not induce random dance parties.

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger (PS3)

This first-person shooter celebrates the wild west in a big, bloody way. Take down anyone unlucky enough to cross bounty hunter Silas Greaves.

Cloudberry Kingdom (PS3)

The dev team behind this insane 2D platformer spent 2 years building an AI that could build a near-infinite number of levels for any difficulty. It looks totally bananacakes. Good luck with that!

I’ll go ahead and crown the clear cream of the crop of these games, with this prestigious award going to none other than Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (WILD APPLAUSE). I know that many claimed that it was a glorified demo and should have been free in the first place (I certainly wouldn’t have complained!), but the brief gameplay that was there was fantastic and very replayable. Plus I got a physical copy of it for 10 bucks brand new, so that’s pretty sweet!

Another big standout is Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, a game that I had always meant to play but just never got around to. Now, as long as I have space on my PS3 and can manage to squeeze out some extra time in the day, I’ll finally be able to try it! Woo!

Even though those are the two main ones that I know of, there’s honestly some solid variety on display here. Skulls of the Shogun: Bone-A-Fide Edition is a turn-based strategy game and I’m ALL about those, while Futuridium EP Deluxe is a crazy psychedelic shooter that looks like a blast. As for Super Exploding Zoo and Cloudberry Kingdom… I have no idea what to make of them… but i’ll give ’em a whirl!

Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings Swinging For Xbox One And PC

Sweet arcade baseball action will be making its way to platforms outside of PlayStation this Summer.

The arcade baseball game Super Mega Baseball is making its way to other platforms, as the devs have revealed that the game will be coming to Xbox One and PC.

This new version of the game is set to include two new stadiums, as well as some currently unconfirmed new features and gameplay tweaks. This new content will also be coming to owners of the PlayStation versions of the game via a free update.

This is great news for baseball fans on Xbox One, seeing as there is currently nothing much going on with the baseball scene for the system. The only other baseball games are RBI Baseball 14 and 15, both of which have received very mixed reviews.

Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings is developed by Metalhead Software for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PC.
