Sony typically has a solid lineup of games that they release each month for gamers to download for free, but for December 2015 they have really outdone themselves.
Once again there are 6 games being offered across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, with the company deciding not to match what Xbox did and up their amount of games offered by one. Still, not a big deal because they are still offering one more game than the competition. Plus, it’s a freakin’ solid set of games.
Without further ado, here is the full lineup:
- Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon (PS3)
- Freedom Wars (PSVita)
- Gauntlet: Slayer Edition (PS4)
- King’s Quest – Chapter 1: A Knight to Remember (PS4)
- Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken (PSVita)
- SSX (PS3)
This is a fantastic lineup of games here, with Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, Freedom Wars, King’s Quest and SSX all being great games. I’ve personally never tried the other two, but from the gameplay alone they look like they’re a lot of fun, too. Merry Christmas, indeed!
The story of Minecraft continues as Telltale Games has revealed that the third episode of Minecraft: Story Mode is coming next week. The Episode is called The Last Place You Look and will be available on all available platforms simultaneously on November 24th.
Here’s a plot synopsis for the episode:
“Trapped and running out of time, Jesse and crew must discover a means to locate Soren, the final member of the Order of the Stone. They’ll see sights and wonders beyond belief, including the horrors lurking beneath the starless sky of The End. Only Soren’s knowledge can help push back the all-consuming Witherstorm, but will it be enough to save the world?”
Minecraft: Story Mode has definitely had a more light-hearted vibe compared to other current Telltale Games series like Game of Thrones and The Wolf Among Us. However, that might not be such a good thing as the reviews so far have been mixed.
Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir is looking to bring back the original awesome game in a brand new way, but Atlus is also doing something to make the package even more special.
The remake is getting a collector’s edition that Atlus is calling the “Storybook Edition” that costs $79.99. This particular edition will only be available for the PlayStation 4 in the USA and includes a 64-page hardcover art book, a t-shirt, a metal slip case, an art print and gorgeous outer box.
For those who don’t have the money for the Storybook Edition fear not, as even the standard edition of the game comes with a softcover art book.
Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir will launch sometime in 2016 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
Telltale Games’ Game of Thrones series is coming to its conclusion tomorrow in the finale called The Ice Dragon, and now the developer has released the accompanying trailer for it.
The season from Telltale Games follows the popular novels and HBO TV series from the perspective of House Forrester. As is the case with the show and book series, war is coming and the stakes have never been higher.
You can download The Ice Dragon tomorrow for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, Mac, iOS and Android.
In less than a month the next PlayStation Experience event will be taking place in San Francisco, with Sony revealing the humongous amount of games that will be playable on the show floor. Just how many games will be playable? Over 100. OMG.
The event will take place from December 5th to December 6th in the West Hall of the Moscone Center. You can check out the PlayStation Blog for a list of most of the playable games by clicking right here. The games that have been announced so far contain already released games like Black Ops III and The Taken King, while also including upcoming games like Battleborn, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Far Cry Primal.
But that’s not all! Sony has even more games hidden up their sleeves that won’t be revealed until the days of the event, so we’ll all just have to stay tuned to see what they are.
The final episode of Telltale Games’ Game of Thrones series will be releasing next week, and it will be accompanied by the full retail version of the game.
The last episode is called The Ice Dragon and will be released on November 17th, 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, iOS and Android. The simultaneous release on all platforms marks the first time in the company’s history that they have ever done that.
As for the retail version of the game, it will release for PlayStation and Xbox consoles for $29.99.
Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir is still a ways off, but Atlus has shared a new trailer that puts the spotlight on the character Cornelius.
Cornelius has the Frog from Chrono Trigger story where he was once a prince but was turned into his current form by an evil force. He’s also a very skilled swordsman and shows off several moves that you can check out via the trailer below.
Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir is currently in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
