One of the few games that remained a PlayStation Vita exclusive will not be one anymore, as it was revealed at the Tokyo Game Show that Gravity Rush is being remastered for PlayStation 4.
This remastered version of the game will have improved visuals and controls to better accommodate the DualShock 4, though the original gameplay will remain intact.
Check out the announcement trailer for Gravity Rush Remastered below.
Not only that, but a sequel to the original game is already in the works and will be releasing sometime next year. Gravity Rush 2 will also release exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
Castlevania’s Koji “IGA” Igarashi may be hard at work on developing Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have time to have some fun with Super Mario Maker.
Polygon invited IGA to sit down with them and have a go at the new game from Nintendo, and as you can tell from the video above he is having an absolute blast. He seems to get a real kick out of adding Bowser at the very beginning of the level to throw people off guard, and it would be pretty cool if you could get him to stalk Mario for the entire level.
Super Mario Maker launches exclusively for the Wii U tomorrow, September 11th. So far the game has been getting rave reviews and will be sure to be another great entry to the loyal Wii U owners’ libraries.
The first free DLC for Yacht Club Games’ Shovel Knight is set to launch next week, called Plague of Shadows. The DLC will be coming to all existing platforms that the game is available on as well as all regions it has been released in.
As for what you can expect to get with this free expansion, it offers a completely remixed story that stars none other than one of Shovel Knight’s foes, Plague Knight. It will even come packed with an all new challenge mode, which will task you with taking on even more difficult scenarios.
The new Shovel Knight amiibo will be compatible with this DLC as well as all future updates for the game, so if you adore Shovel Knight like I do then you just may want to consider picking it up when you can.
If you don’t have a Wii U or Mario Kart 8 but want both of them (and DLC), then do I have a surprise for you! A new Wii U with Mario Kart 8 and its DLC has been announced by Nintendo, which retails for $299.99 in the US. However, Mario Kart 8 is not packaged physically with the console and comes pre-installed on the system.
Nintendo also has a Super Mario Maker Wii U bundle in various regions. That game is set to launch later this week on September 11th, and pre-release buzz for the game has been extremely positive. The Wii U keeps becoming more and more of a quality system to own, whether or not its detractors want to admit it!
Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash will be making its way to the 3DS next month, and for those of you who are still on the fence regarding the game you can check out the latest gameplay video to see what it’s all about below.
The gameplay video shows off a solid chunk of 2D side-scrolling action, which looks really solid so far. The level design seems varied and the Chibi-Robo charm is still shining through strong. Using the plug to zip across gaps looks like it will be a blast, too.
Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash will release exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS on October 9th, 2015.
We heard rumors about a Shovel Knight amiibo floating around the interwebs, but now Yacht Club Games have officially revealed that Shovel Knight is an amiibo. This makes him the first indie game character to be immortalized in amiibo form, standing alongside Mario, Link and dozens of other beloved characters.
The amiibo will unlock exclusive content for the Wii U and 3DS versions of Shovel Knight, which includes things like co-op mode in the current game. To make matters even more sick and sweet, this amiibo will also be compatible with future Shovel Knight games to unlock even more content.
It’s like a Shovel Knight wonderland, and I will be frolicking throughout it, mouth agape.
Shovel Knight is friggin’ awesome, and if you haven’t played the game yet then you need to get your act together!
Anyways, UK retailer GAME has just revealed that Shovel Knight is getting an Amiibo that will be releasing later this year, which was revealed via a tweet that was quickly deleted. Check out the image that was grabbed before it was deleted confirming this directly below.
This tweet confirms that the Amiibo will be compatible with the Shovel Knight game and will unlock new content for it, but is that really where this ends? A lot of hopeful Nintendo fans are hoping that this just might mean that Shovel Knight could be coming to Super Smash Bros., which definitely isn’t out of the question as Nintendo did a poll asking fans who they would want to see added to the game. You know who was on that list? SHOVEL KNIGHT!
