Sony Doesn’t Know If Changing Your PSN ID Will Ever Be Possible

Sony PlayStation

Sony is just rolling with the great (bad) news for fans today, as following the news that backward compatibility isn’t happening they are also saying that the highly-requested PSN name change isn’t looking good either.

Sony’s Yoshida was speaking with fans via Twitter for Paris Games Week, where a fan asked him if the ability to change their PSN ID would ever happen. Yoshida plainly replied that the company does not know if such a feature would be possible to deliver.

Once again, the Xbox has allowed gamers to change their gamertag from the very beginning for a small fee, and they can do it as many times as they want. It seems like an incredibly basic feature that you can do on pretty much *any* other platform, but obviously Sony dropped the ball in the design phase for this one.

On the internet I am known as the one who operates everything on Condemn (OR) Condone. Some have questioned whether or not I am a wizard, but trust me, dear reader, I am but a man!
