The Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Launch Trailer Packs Nostalgia

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Launch Trailer

The launch trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has been released, which marks the very last time that Hideo Kojima will be involved with the series. Check it out directly below.

In what is a completely heartfelt and nostalgic goodbye to the series he created decades ago, Kojima shows the transformation of Snake and the trials he’s been through throughout the various games in the series. The graphics have definitely come a long way, but each and every one of these games has been an equally incredible experience.

The reviews so far for the game have been, unsurprisingly, glowing. They’re saying it’s a fitting send off for Kojima and ends the series on a very high note that it deserved. However, aspects like multiplayer have not been fully tested, and that means we’re not entirely sure of the deal with that hole micro-transaction thing. Hopefully the multiplayer is stable and awesome, and hopefully Konami doesn’t try to force you into paying real money to experience it to its fullest.

Don’t mess this up, Konami. Just… don’t.
