Final Fantasy XV Getting A Simultaneous Worldwide Release

Final Fantasy XV

Final Fantasy XV still doesn’t have a solid release date (sometime before 2017…), but at least we now know the fashion of its release. While there are plenty of RPGs that will get a release in Japan first before eventually coming west, the game’s director has confirmed that won’t be the case for this game.

Final Fantasy XV

Speaking with GameSpot, Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata said the following:

“This may be something that we are little bit embarrassed to talk about, but really, this is the first time that we’ve done a packaged, standalone Final Fantasy game with a simultaneous global launch, so we didn’t have the setup to deal with that, really. The first thing we had to do was rearrange our internal structure to create something that could do that. That was the first important work on the project.”

So, we still don’t know when the heck this thing will launch, but at least we won’t have to be left out in the cold while another part of the world is playing the game before we do!
