Is Halo 3: ODST Coming To The Master Chief Collection This Week?

343 Industries gift to fans for a crappy launch may be coming very soon.

343 Industries have been remastering Halo 3: ODST to add to Halo: The Master Chief Collection as a way to say sorry to the fans for such a rocky launch. While they claimed it would be coming sometime this Spring, an official release date was never announced. However, a listing on that has since been taken down may have let the cat out of the bag.

According to this listing, Halo 3: ODST Remastered will launch on May 29th, 2015. This game will be free to those who bought the game around launch, with the cut off date for getting it for free being December 19th. There has been no official word from 343¬†yet, so we’ll just have to wait and see how things pan out with this one.

Unfortunately, the popular Firefight mode from the original game will not be making it to this remastered version, though a reason for that was not provided.

Outside of getting an entire game for free, gamers will also be able to download the Relic map, which is a remake of a map from Halo 2.
