Sega Of America Is Downsizing

Hard times ahead for Sega.

Sega has been going though some rough times, and in an effort to save money and become as efficient as possible, they have revealed that they will be downsizing the company.

This was revealed in a letter to shareholders, where the decision was made at a board of directors meeting today to relocate from their San Francisco-based office to Southern California by Summer 2015, while also soliciting voluntary retirement to approximately 300 employees.

To add on to all of this, there will likely be some game cancellations in the near future, though what those will be is still up in the air.┬áSega’s last major games were the 3DS’ Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric, which were both critically-panned.
