Frima Studios Announces Next Game ‘Chariot’

Frima Studios has revealed that the next game they will be releasing is a co-op platformer called Chariot. Currently a PlayStation 4 exclusive, the game requires you to guide a chariot through underground physics-based stages. Though co-op is recommended, the studio claims that going solo is available, as well.

The story is about a princess taking her father’s remains to a resting place with the help of her fiance, but her father’s ghost keeps insisting on looting treasure to bury with him. This means that you will constantly have to decide when to venture off the beaten path in search of the loot that the princess’ father is raving about.

Although an official release date has yet to be announced, Frima Studios is eying a Fall release.

Microsoft has let loose the info on what games will be coming to Xbox Live Gold members as part of Games With Gold this May. Tomorrow gamers will be able to download Dust: An Elysian Tail, and on May 16th gamers will be able to download Saints Row: The Third.

Dust: An Elysian Tail normally retails for $15, where Saints Row: The Third currently sits around the $20 mark. Both were pretty well received, so next month might not be a bad time to jump on the Games With Gold bandwagon.

Next Call Of Duty Game Subtitled ‘Patriots’?

Rumors are going around that claim that the next Call of Duty game will be called Call of Duty: Patriots and is being developed by Sledgehammer games. Most interestingly, the game is being developed for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC only.

According to Bubble News, the game is set during a fictional setting of World War I and will have some sci-fi / fantasy elements. One example of this is that a character from a previous Call of Duty game will appear, but in an alternate reality.

The last bit of news I have to report is that the main campaign will last around 6 hours, but there are reportedly 2 sub-campaigns. They also claim that this new game will release on November 14th.

Tim Latshaw of NintendoLife felt inclined to sum up his thoughts in a poem, declaring:

“For its fanciful flights of pleasure / (and rhyming much better than this) / Is Child of Light a treasure? / Dear reader, absolutely, it is!”

Matt Sakuraoka-Gilman of Computer And Videogames was enamored by the game’s visuals, saying:

“Lemuria is a feast for your eyeballs. We’d go so far as to say it’s one of the most beautiful storybooks ever committed to code”

Andrew Dyce of GameRant noted issues, but still recommends it for JRPG fans:

Players attracted to the visuals and style may be alarmed to find the combat so frequent (and the writing uneven), but anyone even mildly interested in JRPG combat should give this game a look.

Sam Marchello of RPGamer claims the game played to his love of fairytales, saying:

It is a game that not every player may feel connected to, but in the right person’s hands the game’s spell will weave its magic.
