Turok & Turok 2 Are Being Remastered For PC

Turok’s back, baby! Night Dive Studios, who focus on restoring classic PC games, is currently working on remasters of both Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil. Both of these games were released in the mid 90’s and will feature enhanced graphics along with other improvements.

Here’s what the CEO of Night Dive Studios, Stephen Kick, has to say about these games:

“When Turok: Dinosaur Hunter was first released it was nothing short of revolutionary. To that point, no game had ever offered the combination of graphics and an open world environment that Turok featured. We are very excited to have the opportunity to bring this great franchise back to life and to be able to share these great titles with today’s gaming audience.”

More information on the games will be released later this year, but in the meantime you can check out some screenshots from the upcoming remasters directly below.

The character’s name is Necalli, and according to the PlayStation Blog he has a mysterious background and features a brutal and animalistic fighting style. Here’s a snippet from the PlayStation Blog:

“There’s no finesse here as all of his attacks have been forged through the heat of battle to inflict maximum pain upon his opponents. However, beneath the surface of the crazed warrior lies a hidden genius that is unleashed upon V-Trigger activation.”

Check out a trailer and a few more images showing of Necalli below.

New ‘Disgaea 5: Alliance Of Vengeance’ Trailer Debuts

A new trailer showcases the fact that Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance will be delivering exactly what fans want.

NIS America had a busy press event in San Francisco this week, where they announced that both Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls and Rodea: The Sky Soldier would be localized for the USA. However, their biggest franchise going, Disgaea, also got a new teaser trailer for the latest game called Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance.

The game features more zany characters, dialogue and turn-based strategy action that fans have come to know and love for many years now. The new trailer gives us a brief look at new characters while also displaying the game’s over-the-top combat. Check out the trailer and some new screenshots below.

Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance is being developed by Nippon Ichi Software exclusively for the PlayStation 4. While previous games in the series have typically received an enhanced version on PlayStation handhelds, the devs assure that this new game is too big to fit on the Vita. It’s set to launch this Fall.

‘Rodea: The Sky Soldier’ Headed West On Wii U & 3DS This Fall

Another very interesting game will be getting localized this Fall with Prope’s Rodea: The Sky Soldier.

NIS America revealed plans to localize another game this year, with this one being the aerial action game called Rodea: The Sky Soldier. Interestingly, the game will be coming to both Wii U and 3DS, which is a departure for the typical NIS game appearing on Sony platforms.

The game was originally announced in 2010 as a Wii game, but after that virtually no information was released until recently last year when it changed platforms. The game features some very interesting gameplay and beautiful visuals, so be sure to check out the trailer and screenshot gallery below.

Rodea: The Sky Soldier is developed by Prope for the Wii U & 3DS. The game is set to launch in Japan on April 2nd, though it won’t be coming to the West until the Fall.

‘Danganronpa Another Episode’ Headed For The USA This Fall

The PlayStation Vita is getting another Danganronpa game, which more than likely means it will be getting another awesome game.

Both Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc & Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair are some of the best games to come out on the Vita last year or any other year, and now a spin-off game called Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultimate Despair Girls is making its way to the USA. The news was revealed at NIS America’s press event in San Francisco that took place this week.

What’s interesting about this game is that it not only takes place in between the first two games, but it also is a major switch in gameplay mechanics. Where the first two games were visual novels with crime scene investigation and courtroom gameplay, this one is a third-person shooter. It’s a strange change of pace, but considering how incredible the first two games are I’m confident that it will work out.

Check out the first trailer and a screenshot gallery for the game below.

Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultimate Despair Girls is developed by Spike Chunsoft exclusively for the PlayStation Vita. It originally launched in Japan on September 25th, 2014, though the USA localization is simply listed as coming this Fall.

Craving Some ‘Bravely Second’ Screenshots? These Should Do The Trick!

Some of these screenshots are getting me really excited for this sequel.

In a couple of months Japan will be getting the sequel to one of the best RPGs to come around in a long time, Bravely Default. The sequel, called Bravely Second: End Layer, is a direct sequel to the first game that will feature many different characters.

Now, some brand new screenshots have been revealed that show off more of what this game has to offer. While we get looks at returning characters like Tiz and Agnes, the screenshots also show off some new classes and characters that give off a much more mature tone than the first game did. Check out the screenshots below.

Bravely Second: End Layer is being developed by Silicon Studio and Square Enix exclusively for the 3DS. It’s set to launch in Japan on 4/23/15, though a USA release date has yet to be confirmed. However, Bravely Default released in the USA 4 months after it launched in Japan, so a several month wait could be possible.

My Judgment:

Bravely Default was a really solid RPG that had some pretty cool tricks up its sleeve in the final act. However, it still had its flaws that I’m hoping the sequel will remedy. Judging from these new screenshots, there are some really interesting things that the sequel is doing (that freaky dude drenched in blood!) that has me optimistic for the end product. Let’s just hope that we don’t have to battle the same batch of bosses over and over and over again this time.

These New ‘Final Fantasy Type-0 HD’ Screenshots Are Epic

Check out some awesome new screenshots for Final fantasy Type-0 HD.

While a lot of the buzz surrounding Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is due to the fact that the game is being bundled with a demo of Final Fantasy XV, many are forgetting that the game itself looks pretty damn good all on its own.

A new batch of screenshots were released today that showcase some truly epic locales, battles and characters. Many of the fan-favorite summons like Ifrit and Shiva make an appearance, which is always a good thing. You can check out the cool screenshots near the bottom of this post.

This game was originally a PSP game that only released in Japan back in 2011, never getting a release stateside due to the release being very late in the PSP’s lifespan. This updated version will include many graphical upgrades to make the game fit in better with new-gen games, while also containing all previous content contained within the original game.
